Massey AGM 2024

Massey Archery Club would like to invite you to attend the 2024 AGM which is being held on:

Sunday 26th May 2024.

VENUE: Massey Archery Club 167 Annett Rd, Kumeu, Auckland

TIME: 9.00am - Welcome and sign in 9.30am - Meeting will commence

NOTE: All members are welcome to attend and the right to vote is held only by Senior and Life members.

COMMITTEE NOMINATIONS

Nominations are open for all Committee positions which will be voted on at the AGM. If you would like to be considered for the 2024/25 Massey Archery Club Committee in any of the following positions, please complete the attached Nomination Form & return it back to the Secretary at macnz.secretary@gmail.com

While nominations will be accepted from the floor at the AGM, it would be appreciated if all nominations could by submitted by Tuesday 21st May as the committee has confirmed voting for all positions will be by secret ballot and this will allow sufficient time to prepare voting papers.

NOTE: All persons applying must be a fully paid current financial Senior member of Massey Archery Club for the membership year of 2024/2025.

The following positions are available:

  • President

  • Vice President.

  • Secretary.

  • Treasurer.

  • Registrar.

  • Bow Hunter Course Captain.

  • IFAA Course Captain.

  • Club Captain.

  • General Committee (minimum 4 required);

  • and Board of Trustee (2 positions) due to Mike Smerdon and Bill Wright’s current terms ending

APOLOGIES

If you are unable to attend the AGM, you are welcome to forward your apologies to the Secretary at macnz.secretary@gmail.com which will be included, along with apologies received on the day, in the AGM minutes.

PROXY VOTES

Additionally, as a current fully paid financial Senior/Life member, as per the Constitution, you are welcome to submit your vote by Proxy which must be in writing and include:

Name of eligible Senior/Life member.

Name of Proxy Holder.

Topic.

Voting Intention – for, against or as proxy holder sees fit.

Signature of the eligible Senior member;

and Submission date.

This information must be emailed to the Secretary no later than five (5) days prior to the AGM being Tuesday 21st May. (All wording above is copied from a letter sent out 16 th April, 2024. Please refer to that or contact macnz.secretary@gmail.com for the complete email to be forwarded to you. Nomination forms for committee will also be at the Registration Desk on Sunday’s prior to AGM)

CONSTITUTION REMITS

If you are a fully paid current Senior member and would like to submit a Constitution Remit for the AGM, please send the following information to the Secretary macnz.secretary@gmail.com

All remits are required to be submitted to the Secretary by Friday 3rd May 2024.

They will then be compiled & emailed by the Secretary to all members for consideration prior to the AGM.

Any remit must contain the following information:

  • Reference to the area within the current Constitution (attached) to be changed including section number and heading, paragraph number & name of section - Example: Section 2 Membership, Paragraph 2.3 Life Membership.

  • The current relevant section details of the Constitution (copy & pasted); and

  • The actual wording of the CHANGE you would like to propose be made to this section.
